Providence rallied from an 11-point halftime deficit to win 81-73 at Butler, opening Big East play with a huge road victory and continuing its best start in 26 years. Florida State is down to its third quarterback in the Peach Bowl after Sean Maguire suffered a leg injury late in the first quarter against Houston.  According to Edward Aschoff of ESPN, Maguire is unable to any pressure on his left leg with trainers carrying him to the cart. Sports Illustrated added the Seminoles will be relying on redshirt freshman J.J. The race to be the top quarterback in the 2016 draft just got more interesting Thursday after Paxton Lynch announced at a press conference he'll forgo his senior season and head to the NFL.   Tom Schad of the Commercial Appeal provided video of Lynch's announcement: Lynch was a three-year starter for the Memphis Tigers, steadily improving with each season.
