Oregon’s 772-Yard Game Proves Chip Kelly’s Departure Won’t Slow Offense

Posted by Tyler Brooke on August 31 2013 Add Comments
For those wondering, it looks like the Oregon Ducks are going to be just fine without Chip Kelly running the up-tempo offense in 2013. It was an absolute shellacking for the Ducks in their season opener, as they dominated Nicholls State 66-3 and ran all over the Colonels for the entire game.   In case a 66-point beatdown didn't prove that the Ducks had a good game, ESPN Stats & Info noted that the 772 yards of ...

Taking a cue from Johnny Manziel and the reigning Heisman winner's end-zone theatrics during Texas A&M's game earlier Saturday, Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd also flashed the "show me the money" sign after running in for a four-yard touchdown.  I guess this is the new popular celebration in college football. Read more College Football news on BleacherReport.com

When Alabama is dominating on teams, the opposition might as well not show up.  Unfortunately for Virginia Tech, that's what happened during Saturday's season opener against the Crimson Tide. Junior Christion Jones returned two kicks for touchdowns (and completed the hat trick with a 38-yard catch for a score) to pace the blowout.  It didn't take him long to get started, as he took 'Bama's first touch of the young season 72 yards to the house off ...

Despite the disadvantage of missing 15 spring practices, rumblings quickly began to emerge that he was impressing both the coaches and ...

Posted by Sebastian Lena on August 31 2013 Add Comments
Notre Dame quarterback Tommy Rees had no problem passing his first test of 2013, leading the Irish to a 28-6 victory over Temple. Sure, he was playing an Owls team that was coming off of a 4-7 season. However, the senior put on a performance that showed he’s fully capable of leading the school to success against any opponent. Regardless, his play should be under the microscope for the next several days.   What He Did Well Following the suspension ...
