Why USC Inspires so Much National Bitterness In College Football

In my short time writing for Bleacher Report, I have witnessed a lot of verbal discourse on the subject of college football in general and the USC Trojans in particular.

Much of this conjecture is thoughtful and inspires interesting conversation back and forth from passionate college football fans.

Yet, I have noticed a disturbing trend from many college football fans in regard to Pete Carroll and the Trojans.

Bitterness and spite has seemed to replace rationality when talk turns to the Men of Troy.

Some of this disparaging verbiage is reflected in juvenile symbols such as representing USC this way: U$C.

I take this for what it is.
