It may have gone unnoticed by many Alabama fans, but there has been a mass exodus from the Alabama football team since the end of 2008. 

Alabama's 2008 starting linebacker Brandon Fanney was the latest to transfer elsewhere, but he may not be the last.

Before his departure there were others looking elsewhere for shelter in the storm, among those are linebackers Prince Hall, and Charlie Higginbothem, and receiver Chris Jackson while cornerback Alonzo Lawrence, running back Jermaine Preyear and kicker Corey Smith are also expected to be absent from Alabama's 2009 squad.
