At 6'1'' 221lbs, Nate Williams is coming in as one of the Huskies top defenders in 2009. Williams runs a respectable 4.55 40-yard dash and has great acceleration and field vision. He was one of seven true freshmen that played in the 2007 season and he played in all 12 games last year as a sophomore and put up pretty good numbers. Williams chalked up 78 tackles (second in Husky defense) and was 17th in the Pac with 6.33 tackles per game. He earned honorable mention for All-Pac-10 last year as well as KING-TV’s Most Improved Player Award on the defense at the Husky banquet.
