Virginia Tech Football: Zack Luckett Returns to the Hokies

Zack Luckett was once a promising athlete on the Virginia Tech football team.  After a series of off-the-field problems and a season--long suspension, those days have returned.

Luckett arrived at Virginia Tech in 2006 and redshirted in his first season.  In 2007, Luckett led the team in special teams tackles and caught two passes as a wide receiver. 

Last year, Luckett was expected to compete for a starting job at wide out before he was suspended indefinitely for his second DUI while under scholarship.

Now, after a year off from football, Luckett is back.  However, he will be playing on the defensive side of the ball.  Luckett played linebacker in high school, and will now do so for the Hoki...
