UCONN Ends Rough Stretch With Tough Match-Up Against Baylor

A UConn team sputtering on offense, travels down to Waco, Texas Saturday afternoon for a battle with the Baylor Bears of the Big 12.

Baylor, who hasn't played since a 24-21 win at Wake Forest on Sept. 5, has had two weeks to prepare some revenge for the Huskies on their home field.

Last year, UConn won a nail-biter over Baylor 31-28 at Rentschler Field; but had their problems containing the Bears QB Robert Griffin, who accounted for all four Baylor touchdowns (passing and rushing).

With two of the Huskies best defensive players ailing, end Lindsey Witten (stomach virus) and linebacker Scott Lutrus (concussion), UConn fans will assuredly be crossing their fingers for speedy recoveries from the two before Saturday.
