Rewind to the year 2004, when Tyrone Willingham walked the sidelines of Notre Dame Stadium. The Irish finished 6-5 that year and were intent with being average. Fast foward to the present time August 2009, as Charlie Weis and his team prepare for a season with a roster loaded with talent, experience, and depth. What would have happened if Willingham had been given a longer leash or more time to fix the program? How big of a crisis would we still be in if it weren't for the hiring of Charlie Weis after the 2004 season?
