The Gator ‘Bate: Tim Tebow Is a Unitas Award Candidate

University of Florida quarterback Tim Tebow, has been nominated for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award. Just another award the star athlete may add to his already full stock.

The award is given annually to the nation's top senior quarterback.

The prestigious accolade has been previously awarded to University of Florida legend Danny Wuerffel, as well as both Mannings, and Carson Palmer.

Last year's recipient was Texas Tech's Graham Harrell.

This year's candidates include Colt McCoy of Texas, Matt Grothe of South Florida, Jarrett Brown of West Virginia, and Duke's quarterback Thaddeus Lewis.
