After one season at Mississippi State, Manny Diaz, 36, has accepted the defensive coordinator job at Texas.

Diaz was a defensive coordinator for four seasons at Middle Tennessee State before joining Dan Mullen's staff at Mississippi State.

The Bulldogs were 22nd nationally in scoring defense this season, and held Heisman winner Cam Newton's offense to a season-low 17 points.
