Terrelle Pryor: Stepping Up and Demanding Excellence

Last season at this time, Terrelle Pryor was coming into a Buckeye locker room expected to sit the bench for most of his freshman season. A lot of people expected for Todd Boeckman to keep his starting role and for Pryor to come in on special packages.

At the beginning of the season that is just what happened, but a USC game in which the gray shirt team leader fell apart against the Trojans, Coach Tressel had to try out his star recruit.

In Pryor’s first start for the Buckeyes, he completed 10 of 16 passes for 139 yards and four touchdown passes which is the most by any Ohio State freshman quarterback.
