Former Central Florida running back Latavius Murray, has been told that the Syracuse Orange football program doesn't need him.
Murray, who played as a true freshman for the Golden Knights, tore his ACL when he informed head coach George O'Leary he wanted out.
The ex-Onondaga High School star, had said that he wanted to transfer to Syracuse and would be willing to be either a running back or linebacker.
A Syracuse assistant informed Murray on Friday night that the school would not offer him a scholarship, but he could walk onto the team if he so wished.
