From the first day Head Coach Steve Sarkisian was hired and stepped into his first press conference, Sarkisian has preached to his athletes and the University of Washington fan base "EXPECT TO WIN".

The slogan is posted in the locker room, team meetings, websites and anything the football team does on campus. Coach Sarkisian and his staff has shown us the attitude, commitment, dedication, discipline, enthusiasm, intensity and their coaching ability in practices and now in games.

Practices and games are organized and no nonsense. Players are coached on the spot and repeated miscues are not tolerated. Athletes that who will perform in practice will be the starters.
