It’s a fact of life that losses hurt.

It’s also true that some hurt more than others. Especially the games that you feel you should have won.

On Saturday that’s what Stanford was feeling after its heartbreaking defeat to Wake Forest.

There were factors in Saturday’s game that contributed to Stanford’s loss that were outside of their control, mainly what the men in the striped shirts were doing.
