Spencer Boyd Chooses Irish: 13th Commit of the 2010 Class

Notre Dame secured its 13th commitment today in Spencer Boyd who turned his back on Rich Rodriguez and the Michigan Wolverines as well as Georgia to commit to the Irish.

The 5'10, 169 lb. commit is a very solid capture for the team at South Bend. He is not considered a elite prospect, but he is considered a very good athlete.

He has good speed, nice ball skills, and is a quick, smooth and fluid tackler who is able to bring down players in the open field. He has make up speed and already has a good understanding of how to position himself between the ball and the player.
