North Carolina State running back Shadrach Thornton was arrested late Tuesday after reportedly striking a pedestrian while riding a scooter near the school.  

WRAL.com reported police tracked down Thornton at his apartment after he left the scene of the accident. He was charged with failure to stop and render aid and failure to provide information. He posted $500 bond and returned home.
