A funny thing happened in Birmingham, Alabama recently.

Sportswriter Kevin Scarbinsky filled out his Heisman ballot.

Why Scarbinsky was ever given a ballot is a matter of great debate, but he was nevertheless endowed with a vote.

You may be asking yourself, "What is so funny about a sportswriter from Birmingham, AL filling out a Heisman Ballot?"

Well, the act of filling it out wasn't really all that entertaining, but the content of that completed ballot was nothing short of comedic genius.

In some sort of protest understood by no one other than Scarbinsky, he chose to vote Alabama defensive back Rolando McClain as his first choice for the highly coveted award.
