Throw the latest AP poll out the window, go ahead and toss the Coaches Poll in the trash and forget about the Heisman Trophy race. At this point in the season, polls and rankings are nothing more than popularity contests. Come season’s end, the only system that matters is the final Week 17 BCS Standings. Love it or hate it, there is no denying the significance of the final BCS rankings.
