The first week of college football is nearly over, as we are awaiting the results of only two football games. The news of the first week has to be that anything is possible. We lost the Heisman Trophy winner and had numerous upsets from all across the football scene.

With so much going on, let's take a look at the winners and losers of week one. We'll break it down conference by conference:

ACC:

Virginia Tech were beaten by Alabama. The game was much closer than last year's Clemson debacle, but still disappointing. Virginia Tech learned that Tyrod Taylor isn't going to win a game with his arm, and this weakness was clearly exploited by Alabama.
