Miami Goes from Big Game to Trap Game for the Oklahoma Sooners

It had all the makings of historic heavyweight slugfest.

Two proud schools with a ton of history reviving a rivalry that was one of the most intense during the historic rise of the Miami Hurricanes during the '80s.

The Sooners, a perennial top dog, recently wounded against a young brash team skyrocketing up the rankings looking to restore the lore of "The U".

But Alas, it was not meant to be. While the Sooners held up their part of the bargain with a dominating defense that shutout the most prolific offense of the past two years in their last game before the match-up, the Hurricanes fell apart at Virginia Tech barely even showing up in an embarrassing loss that showed none of the prowess of the previous two games.
