Jadeveon Clowney: Update on the Nation’s Top-Ranked Recruit

Jadeveon Clowney, the top-ranked high school football player in the country, remains undeclared and it’s anyone’s guess where he’ll end up.

The tight-lipped Clowney is still reportedly down to Alabama and South Carolina as his favorites, but many reports indicated that Clemson, Ohio State and Florida State remain potential landing places for the impressive defensive end.

Clowney is one of the most impressive recruits out of high school that many scouts have ever seen. At 6’6”, 240-pound freak of an athlete is already being compared to Julius Peppers and is sure to make an immediate impact wherever he ends up.

Clowney will take a rescheduled visit to Clemson Jan. 28, and that could be the final variable in the wild recruitment in the nation’s top player.

Clemson has remained an outside possibility for Clowney as it’s been reported that he’s set to choose between South Carolina and Alabama.

Still, the Tigers should remain a contender as long as Clowney is planning a visit, given their impressive recruiting class already.
