The most overrated statistic in football is straight speed.

Rarely is a player in a position to need to simply outrun another player as if on a track.

Yet speed might be the most important attribute to the players.

That's what makes quarterback Denard Robinson's arrival intriguing.

After scorching the Florida track season last spring in the 100-meter dash, Robinson arrived at U-M with a reputation. But he hasn't raced for the sprint title.
