Indiana State opened the FSC season with a 26-20 lose to NAIA member Quincy in OT.

Indiana State shot out to a 17-0 lead in the first quarter behind a Braulio Martinez 40 yard field goal and Ryan Roberts' five-yard pass from Chris Stutzriem (Braulio Martinez Kick) and a Bryant Kent 75-yard pass from Darrius Gates (Braulio Martinez Kick).

Quincy started strong in the fourth with a Tyler Truttmann 12 yard pass from Sam Donatucci (Sam Donatucci Pass to Chris Jenkins for two-point conversion).
