Over recent years the Big Ten Conference has become the subject of a number of critical comments and overall doubts from those both inside and outside of the conference.
Why would the conference that boasts some of the nation’s largest student bodies and most storied college football programs be subject to such widespread disparagement? Here are my reasons for faulting this conference, as well as my suggestions for how the Big Ten can better realize its potential.
