Hope For The 21st Century: A Message From the Reverend Jim Tressel

Last spring, Ohio State's Jim Tressel spoke at the invitation of a local church. The topic: "Hope for the 21st Century."   Tressel is, by all indications, a humble man, and his lessons were clear.

  • BE RESPECTFUL:  During the National Championship trip to New Orleans, the pilot, stewardess, hotel manager, and banquet server all stopped the coach at some point and basically said, "Your team is the most respectful group we've ever hosted." To Tressel, those words were better than any win on the field.
