It's Christmas Eve 2010, and while families and friends gather around their fireplaces to drink eggnog, partake in massive meals, and endure awkward encounters with relatives, the 24th-ranked Hawaii Warriors, from the Western Athletic Conference, and the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, from Conference USA, will be tussling on the turf in Honolulu in the 2010 Sheraton Hawaii Bowl.

Hawaii comes into this game at Aloha Stadium–the Warriors' home field–as co-champions of the WAC, along with Nevada and Boise State, and a 10-3 overall record after going 7-1 in conference.
