One of the many perks of working the 2011 recruiting beat is hearing about great under-the-radar prospects—like wide receiver Marcus Leak, of Monroe, North Carolina—before their recruitment takes off.

Helping that happen is something I'm thrilled to try and do.

Marcus's coach was kind enough to email me a few days ago requesting that I spread the word on his talented wide receiver, who is just starting to generate buzz on the NC recruiting trail.

Marcus's film (video embedded below) was indeed impressive. He is explosive off the line of scrimmage, secures the ball confidently in traffic and turns upfield for valuable yards after the catch—all great assets in a top wide receiver to-be.
