On Sept. 12 the No. 4 ranked Pittsburg State Gorillas will battle the No. 7 ranked Northwest Missouri State Bearcats in the Fall Classic VIII.

Pittsburg State is the winningest all-time NCAA Division II program. The Gorillas are 2-0 entering the contest with victorys over No. 24 Central Oklahoma and No. 11 Chardon State. 

NW Missouri State the three-time defending MIAA champion, enters the game at 1-1 with a victory last week against Southwest Baptist. The Bearcats lost a heartbreaker to start the season against No. 2 Abilene Christian.
