Getting outscored 82-10 in two games is dreadful, the Cougars actually ended up allowing more then 58 points five additional times during the season.

To open the 2009 season, the defense still looked pathetic, but the offense can move the ball:

So far, the point spread against them has gone down from 70 points, to 44—that's a 37 percent improvement.
