College Football Rankings: An Early Look at Next Season’s Top 10

Last year, Alabama and LSU started the 2011 season at Nos. 2 and 4. By the end of the year, these two teams were Nos. 1 and 2.

So, what does that mean?

It means that even if your beloved team doesn’t start out 2012 at No. 1, they still have a great shot at finishing atop the college football mountain by the end of the year. The first preseason poll has 15 weeks to shape where teams play in the bowl season.
