Why do all good things have to come to an end?

Georgia defeated LSU 44-41 in college football's best game of the season. It was wire-to-wire action that should have been a doubleheader. 

In a perfect world, LSU would have driven down the field and kicked a game-tying field goal to force overtime. But the game abruptly ended when a Zach Mettenberger fourth-down pass sailed high to Odell Beckham Jr. with less than a minute remaining.
