With 5:45 remaining in the third quarter on Thursday night in front of a national television audience on ESPN, Chip Kelly became a win-at-all-costs coach in his first season at the helm of the University of Oregon program.

LeGarrette Blount took a handoff from quarterback Jeremiah Masoli and sprinted to the left side and into the end zone from 12 yards out.

Blount's scoring run brought Oregon to within two points of Civil War rival Oregon State at 30-28 following a successful point after. It turned out to be the touchdown that would put Oregon into the Rose Bowl for the first time since 1994, a loss to Penn State.
