The LSU Tigers football team had plenty of cause for optimism heading into the offseason, after demolishing Georgia Tech in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl to end the 2008 season.

Jordan Jefferson looked every bit the role of a competent starting quarterback and showed some serious upside for the Tigers with his physical tools from under center.
