On Friday, Steve Spurrier, the head football coach at the University South Carolina, closed the book on one controversy, and at the same time, initiated a new rage in Ole Miss football fans.

On day three of SEC Media Days in Hoover, Alabama, Spurrier admitted he was the head coach that did not vote for Tim Tebow preseason first-team All-SEC. Actually, he placed the blame on somebody else.

He revealed that Jamie Speronis, the director of football operations at South Carolina, filled out his ballot. Spurrier said he glanced at it quickly and signed off on it. It wasn't until later, Spurrier realized Speronis voted for Jevan Snead instead of Tebow.
