Alabama DE Brandon Deaderick Shot in Attempted Robbery

Alabama defensive end Brandon Deaderick was shot in an apparent robbery at Rivermont Apartments. The event occurred around 10 p.m. as Deaderick and a female companion were exiting their vehicle.

The two victims were approached by a man Deaderick didn't recognize wearing dark clothes, a dark ball cap, and a blue bandanna over his face. He told the couple to "give it up" and shot Deaderick when he refused. Police are still searching for the perpetrator, who fled the scene.

The 22-year-old Deaderick was transferred to DCH, where it was discovered the bullet went through his forearm and ricocheted into his leg.
