2010 Armed Forces Bowl: Awesome Pre-Game Moments

If you’ve never been to a game that involves the armed forces, you are absolutely missing out.

Prior to the game, just next to the big tailgating area featuring West Point Academy as well as the Naval Academy, there is a very large marine helicopter that lifted off just prior to the game and banked around the stadium. That’s not something you see every day and especially not in maneuvers.

Also just prior to the game, a huge C-130 cargo plane flew around the stadium and was supposed to drop Army cadets that were going to parachute into the stadium.

Unfortunately, due to the strong 25 mile per hour winds around the stadium the jump was aborted. That would have been an incredible moment before this game kicked off.

But the best moment of all were four F-16 fighter jets doing a fly-over after the national anthem. Always gives me chills.
