2009 Vanderbilt Commodores: All Signs Point To Another Bowl Game

As the 2009 season approaches for the Commodores lots of questions are being asked. Can a team with only four bowl games in its history make to another one in back to back years? Can Bobby Johnson lead his team to another winning record?

Vanderbilt has 19 starters returning this year. The defense will be the key for the Commodores again this year.

Vanderbilt's first six games are favorable for the Commodores in that the play non-conference games against West Carolina, at Rice and at Army. All three of those games should be wins. The also will play their West schedule of the SEC playing at LSU and home against Mississippi and Mississippi State. I look for Vanderbilt to be 4-2 heading into their East schedul...
