The No. 22-ranked VCU Rams trailed the unranked Dayton Flyers by one point with only 3:38 to play when they had a golden opportunity to retake the lead.

VCU's Melvin Johnson forced a turnover and took off the other way to throw down a statement dunk.

Instead, his attempt at a two-handed jam clanged off the rim, and his teammate couldn't come down with the rebound.

Dayton went on to win, 59-55.
