Tennessee Basketball: Where Will the Volunteers Finish in the SEC?

Tennessee received one first-place vote to win the SEC in 2012-13. A majority of the media at SEC media day predicted the Kentucky Wildcats, Missouri Tigers and Florida Gators to beat the Volunteers next season.

The Volunteers are pegged as the fourth-best team in the conference by voters across the nation as well. Kentucky, Florida and Missouri are all ranked in the preseason AP Top 25, and Tennessee is on the outside looking in.

But why?

As the second-best team in SEC play in 2011-12, Cuonzo Martin's team boasted a 10-6 record with tiebreakers over the Florida Gators and Vanderbilt Commodores.
