It's the most fundamental part of the sport of basketball: shooting. Yet the ability to get the ball in the hoop with high accuracy is not an easy task.

Making more than 50 percent of your shots is considered a really good rate, while hitting better than one-third of attempts from three-point range unofficially qualifies a player as an outside shooting expert.
