Michigan State Head Coach Tom Izzo Suspended For Secondary NCAA Violation

Michigan State coach Tom Izzo will serve a one-game suspension for a secondary violation of NCAA rules related to a summer basketball camp.

Reportedly, the school hired someone connected with a potential recruit during a basketball camp in June. The person was paid a standard amount for those employed at the camp, $475 for five days of working with middle school-aged campers. Izzo said he regrets what happened, but he described it as an unintended violation of the rules.
