Who is Edgar Sosa?

Had you asked Louisville coach Rick Pitino, a Cardinal fan, or any half-attentive college basketball fan last season, they would have told you Sosa is that head case of a Louisville point guard.

This season, he’s working to dismiss that stereotype.

Sosa scored 15 points and was perfect from three-point range in Louisville’s 80-48 win over Stetson Wednesday night, pushing his season three-point accuracy to more than 45 percent.

He did it without a lot of help, too.

Sosa’s backup, freshman guard Peyton Siva, was sidelined with a wrist injury and could be for some time, according to Pitino. The senior is also batting injury—a bruised knee—but isn’t letting it show.<...
