The Fighting Illini have not had many great teams, with their best being of course the 2004-05 team. I was only about seven years old during that year, so I only remember certain things from that year.

The thing I remember the most is coming home from school, walking in the door, and my brother telling me the Illini lost to Ohio State by one. I was devastated. But that team was just so good.

As most of you know, they lost to the University of North Carolina Tar Heels in the national championship game.
