Final Four 2011: Can the Final Four Make or Break Kemba Walker’s Draft Stock?

UConn’s point guard Kemba Walker has been one of the most talked about players this season, and for good reason.  Walker is averaging over 20 points per game and has led his team to Houston, Texas for the Final Four what everyone dreams of at the beginning of the season, but it’s not over yet.

He is set to face off against the Kentucky Wildcats and will be playing against one of the elite guards in the nation in Brandon Knight.

Although Knight is good, he is yet to reach Kemba status.

Walker has showed this season that he is one of the most clutch players to ever play and has veins of ice in late game situations.

When UConn is down at the end of a game and has a shot to win it, not many people think that they are going to lose because of Walker.

He has taken this team and put them on his shoulders to lead this this far.

Not only were they a bubble team at the beginning of the Big East Tournament, but they were also not expected to do well at all. But they proved the critics wrong.

With Walker’s late game heroics, they were able to make a run at the title and ended up taking care of business in the Garden.

It is expected that he will declare eligible for the draft this season even though he is a junior and the lock-out is looming.

He has had a career season and will be a top draft pick if he decides to go.

No matter what happens in the Final Four, Kemba Walker will go high in the draft.  He is versatile, charismatic and a play-maker.

He is clutch and a slasher, mix that in with great defense and the ability to handle the ball and make great passes without committing turnovers, and you have yourself a great NBA point guard.

Look for Walker to be a star in the NBA and be the best professional player out of this class, no matter how he fares in the Final Four.
