U.T Baseball: Texas Experiencing Unusual Recruiting Troubles

As the calendar changes from May to June, the NCAA Regionals are under way. After nearly four full months of baseball, 64 teams comprise 16 different regional sites. The penultimate goal is to win enough games to be one of the eight teams that are fortunate enough to advance to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Texas Longhorns are once again part of the field of 64, as the third seed in the Dallas Baptist Regional. But it was a rough year for Augie Garrido's squad - they finished the season with a 30-26 record - and they needed a late push to even make the tournament, winning the Big 12 tournament to claim the conference's automatic bid.
