As the 2016 college baseball regular season approaches its end, the top teams around the country will continue to build their resumes in the hopes of receiving the best possible seed for the NCAA tournament.

Historically, the regular season doesn't mean everything when it comes to contending for the College World Series. UCLA was the No. 1 overall seed a year ago and didn't make it out of its regional. The same thing happened to Oregon State the year before.
