Posted by The Wolverine on August 28 2009 Add Comments
Michigan commit Ken Wilkins has been described as nothing less than a beast, standing at 6'3", 231 lbs. Pre-Barwis, Wilkins benches 365 and runs a 40-yard dash in 4.61 seconds. "He's an unbelievable physical talent," Trinity Coach Ed Dalton said. "He's very muscular, and he has a 28-inch waist. He looks like an NFL player today. He's not going to take a year in college to get that physical look. He already has it. ...

Rodriguez Not Eager to Give Up Hotel Rooms

Some fans may not know the Wolverines spend the night before a big game in hotel rooms. In fact, all teams do. Well, that may soon change at the NCAA Convention next January. The Pac-10 conference has proposed to ban the practice in order to cut down on costs for athletic programs. While the issue will be up for a vote, Coach Rodriguez let it be known that he does not support the ...

We are just over a week away from college football opening weekend. The University of Michigan football team is starting to fill out the depth chart on who is going to be where. Kelvin Grady (former point guard) is listed as the No. 2 slot WR behind Odoms. Beating out Roy Roundtree and Terrance Robinson. I think Roundtree is a better fit at outside WR, but that's just me.It seems Terrance Robinson has separated himself in ...

It’s Official: Desmond Howard to Ruin College Gameday

The first sign that Gameday was deteriorating was, undoubtedly, when Nick Lachey appeared and did this.  But one could view that as an isolated indiscretion.  After all, that was a correctable, one-off event. Now, however, something far more insidious is taking place: Click here to view the embedded video. And then, there is this gut-wrenching announcement: The song, “This is Our Moment,” captures the passion and dedication of the players to perform at the highest level each week with ...

Alabama Preview: Nick Saban Has Tide Focused for Another Title Run

The Alabama Crimson Tide hope 2009 has a much better ending than its beginning. After a 12-0 start, the Tide stumbled against Florida in the SEC Championship and then fell flat on their face against Utah in the Sugar Bowl. Still, not many expected an undefeated regular season in year two under Nick Saban; many thought the big jump would come in year three. With two top-flight recruiting classes on campus, might Alabama be ready to play ...

They’re Game: South Carolina Is Stocked with Youthful Talent

Posted by Alex Roberts on August 28 2009 Add Comments
South Carolina is entering a season where hopes are high but proven skill players are missing from the roster. On the spectrum, this season could fall anywhere from "rebuilding" to "finally over the hump" status.  A 2-10 season is as probable as a 10-2 season.  Carolina can compete with any of the teams on their schedule (except for possibly the greatest team this generation has seen, Florida). The fate of this team is going to be decided by the ...

Texas Longhorns’ Official Depth Chart for Opening Day Released

A couple notes: - Vondrell Mcgee was named the starter at RB. Not that this is all that significant, as the Horns will still operate under a running back by committee approach. Whoever has the hot hand from game to game will get the bulk of the carries. I personally love Cody Johnson. He's a big, strong, physical back with deceptive speed for a guy his size. Mack uses him strictly for goal line and short yardage ...
