Vegas Sees Alabama And Va. Tech Like The Fans Do: A Defensive Game
Checking the Las Vegas lines are usually a good starting point when wondering how games may fare. These are people who put their money where their mouth is.
Currently Alabama is is anywhere from a six and half to a seven point favorite. The over and under line is 38.
Now anybody can do the math from this point. If 'Bama is favored by seven and 28 points are scored, that makes the final score somewhere around ...
Are You Ready For Some Football: The College Season Is Underway!
Lets get this party started. Thursday night, College Football begins on ESPN.

2009 Star power is highlighted by having the returning Heisman winner Sam Bradford and top competing candidates from last year, Tim Tebow, and Colt McCoy in the lineup for their respective teams.
Tebow has the chance to become the first two time winner since the great Archie Griffin (Ohio State 1974, 1975).
This is the first time a top three candidate ...
USC-Ohio State: Five Reasons It Might Be Time to Panic, Trojan Fans
First, it was quarterback Mark Sanchez bolting school a year early for the NFL, even though "Slippery Pete" begged and pleaded with him not to leave him hanging (ten).
Never mind the silly surfing joke there. You probably missed it anyway.
Secondly, USC had a stellar defense in 2008—one of the best in the nation, in fact—but eight of those 11 starters are now gone.
Yes, we all know USC reloads with more talented four- and five-star ...

Now it’s time for the six most frightening opponents on the 2009 Irish docket.6. NavyNavy starts the season with new starters at major skill spots like quarterback, fullback, slot back, and both wide receiver spots. UGA Could Have the Last Bark About the SEC East Pecking Order
Is there anybody who hasn't anointed Florida as not only the SEC East Champion but the SEC Champion? If there is, I haven't met them.
It's been said by many men, much smarter than this author, that it is the hardest thing is to repeat, rather than win the first one.
Though there is no reason for me not to jump to same conclusion, and I will, I want to warn the Florida Gators that ...
Husky Trails: The Washington Husky Power Players
With the first game of the season in exactly one week, and excitement building in all corners of the Washington team, I felt it would be great to put together a recap of who will be the big players for UW this season.
This will be an interesting season for the Huskies as they break in a new coach and get over the 0-12 season last year.
So with no further ado here are some of the ...
Preview of the Tar Heels Season: Part III
It is finally here, the third and final part in my breakdown of the Tar Heels season. This last part of the season will be easier for the Heels than the second part was, and my prediction for the Heels is very good.
Duke: Nov. 7 at Chapel Hill
A Duke vs. Carolina game is always exciting even in football. It is hard to tell whether or not Duke will be up to the challenge this year, ...
Israeli Basketball Standout to Join Florida Gators
Nimrod Tishman, a 6-foot-6 point guard, is hoping to join Billy Donovan for the 2009-2010 season.
The Israeli guard averaged just over 18 points during the Under 18 European championships where he paired up with some of the world's greatest talents.
Tishman comes to Gainesville just two months after Florida lost star Nick Calathes to professional ball in Greece.
This left the Gators scrambling but they managed to find someone from the international talent pool.
Tishman is the first Israeli ...

Head coach Steve Fairchild said after Friday’s practice, “We will start Grant Stucker at CU. He has just played a little more consistently down the stretch. Since last Saturday, I have been pleased with the direction he’s headed.”
