Wednesday, as Razorback fans learned of Ryan Mallett's broken left foot, a collective "oh no" could be heard sweeping through the Natural State. 

The highly touted Heisman candidate is now set to miss up to four months of football activities, including the always exciting spring football game. Not good news at all if you're an Arkansas fan.

However, if you look at the glass as being half full, there are a few reasons that the injured left foot of Ryan Mallett could actually help the future of Razorback football.

With Mallett being an all but sure lock to head to the NFL draft following the upcoming season, Arkansas will have to hand over the signal calling duties to the quarterback of the future.
