The North Carolina Tar Heels escaped a great comeback by the No. 20 UNLV Runnin' Rebels in the second half to win at home.
Despite some poor free throw shooting throughout the game, the team did just enough to win, and only trailed at one point during the game.
This is the first time the Tar Heels were able to knock off a good team after losing by double-digit points to Butler, No. 1 Indiana and Texas.
Five players scored in double-figures for Roy Williams, and UNC was able to pull off the upset at home as it tries to climb back into the Top 25.
